Exciting things are happening in East Albany!
We are proud to be working alongside Affordable Housing Oregon and the City of Albany on a transformative project that will shape the future of this dynamic neighborhood. The East Albany Town Center (EATC) initiative is more than just development—it’s a vision for a connected, inclusive, and thriving community.
A Project Unlike Any Other
The EATC project stands as one of the most complex and forward-thinking efforts in Albany’s history. It builds upon the East Albany Plan, which carefully balances economic growth, transportation enhancements, housing diversity, and environmental stewardship. But more than that, EATC is a flagship model—a blueprint that can inspire similar projects across Oregon.
At its core, EATC is about collaboration and community-driven design. Dozens of local leaders and organizations are actively engaged in shaping the future, ensuring that new development aligns with the needs of East Albany’s residents. The neighborhood is well-positioned to take advantage of surrounding infill and redevelopment opportunities, fostering the growth of new businesses, services, and amenities.
A Partnership-Driven Investment
Several Oregon-based leaders and investors are ready to commit $150 million in private funding, underscoring the confidence in East Albany’s potential. These funds will integrate seamlessly with existing neighbors, industrial lands to the south, and the newly planned farmworker housing development. However, realizing this vision depends on clear and consistent commitments from the City of Albany and the State of Oregon.
Strong public-private partnerships will be critical to success. The transportation system, local infrastructure, and shared spaces must be developed with a co-investment strategy—a coordinated approach that ensures long-term sustainability and accessibility.
Working Together for Albany’s Future
The success of East Albany depends on the collaboration of all who call it home. The EATC team is committed to working closely with the surrounding neighborhoods, the City of Albany, the VFW, and local businesses to ensure that this project reflects the community’s vision. By fostering strong relationships and open communication, we can support Albany in building the kind of community its residents want—a place that is vibrant, welcoming, and built for the future.
